My name is Glenda Martin and I am a Licensed Massage Therapist. I also have a BS in Business Administration. I was a secretary prior to becoming a massage therapist.
I began my massage therapy experience at the ACE School of Massage Therapy, February 2007 in Amarillo, TX. The training involved 300 hours of study in swedish massage techniques, anatomy, physiology, health & hygiene, professional ethics, and hydrotherapy. In October, 2007, I received my state license.
At this time, I also opened an office "Just for You" Massage Therapy in Amarillo, TX. In 2009, I expanded by opening an additional office in Groom, TX for local residents who did not wish to go into Amarillo for their massages.
My philosophy is to treat my clients with the respect that they deserve and should expect from a professional. The knowledge and experience I have gained since becoming a massage therapist is beneficial in helping my clients with pain relief, stress reduction and overall relaxation utilizing various massage techniques.
My decision to become a massage therapist was to get into another career field where I could physically help people with their health. I became interested in becoming a massage therapist through my daughter, who is also a massage therapist, and my husband who has had chronic low back pain.
I network regularly with other massage therapists at workshops and professional membership meetings. I am consistently acquiring additional training which will benefit my clients and assists me in receiving the CEU requirements needed to maintain my LMT License.
